Beetley with East Bilney: St Mary

St. Mary Magdalene, Beetley is slowly being repaired and renewed and begins to look cared for.  The bell tower has eight bells (the lightest in Norfolk) We do not have regular bell ringers but many visiting teams.

St. Mary East Bilney is In good repair (new roof in 2003) One bell. Thomas Bilney, the first Norfolk martyr, was born in the village in 1495.

 

Both churches have the same congregation with Eucharist every Sunday (except 5th) in alternate churches.  Festivals, special services, Christenings, Weddings & Funerals as required.

A Lent course is run each year in conjunction with St. Nicholas, Dereham.

Both churches have graveyards and both have plenty of space for future needs.
